Danny Federici, founding member of the E Street Band and a key contributor to the band's stylemark layered sound, died on Th (4/17) after a three-year conflict with malignant melanoma. Federici was 58.In a statement on Robert I Springsteen [ tickets ]'s official internet site, Springsteen said "Danny and I worked together for 40 years - he was the well-nigh wonderfully fluid keyboard participant and a pure natural musician.
